Inside Sales Representative

Strategic Pricing Group, a member of Monitor Group (www.monitor.com), has a unique opening in its Cambridge, MA headquarters for a full time inside sales/business development representative.

Working in our marketing strategy group, this position requires a unique ability to engage executives in a consultative selling dialogue. This individual must be able to quickly develop relationships with executives via telephone and email exchanges and help qualify whether a prospect has a sufficient needs and interest to pass along to our consulting sales team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Learn and communicate Monitor's insights, points of view and service offering in marketing strategy
  • Generate and qualify leads through cold calling campaigns
  • Follow up on leads from mail campaigns, speaking events, and seminars
  • Recruit executives to attend our "by-invitation" executive briefing series
  • Ensure that pertinent information gathered during sales calls is put into our contact management system
  • Use research-based tools to identify and source contacts
  • Navigate prospect accounts to reach key decision makers
  • Demonstrate persistence and overcome obstacles

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 to 5 years experience in a sales or marketing environment with exposure to direct communications with customers. Experience in the professional services industry a plus
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills via the phone and internet
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take the initiative to get things done
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once (flexible and self-sufficient)
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, confident and tenacious
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com
